Denmark 18-26 May

1 Yıl Önce

Hi, I’m Bersu. I have participated in a youth exchange project that took place in Denmark at 18-26 May. We as the Turkish team traveled there through Hamburg and met each other there, we click the first time we saw each other and we knew we would have a great time. We arrived to the Agerskov and met the other teams, they were all warm and friendly, I have made friends that i’m still in touch to this day. The project’s topic was social inclusion, racism, discrimination etc. and we use non-formal education methods mainly by using theater. Each day were divided randomly in groups and had to write a script and play it together. It made us create a bond and helped us getting closer also improved our self confidence while doing a public speak. Cultural nights were so much fun and all of us did our best to represent our country in the best way. We learned traditional dances, songs and ofcourse foods. Each night after the cultural event is over we made a bonfire since the place we were staying at was a scout’s camp, i still remember how the stars seemed so close to us and the sincere conversations we made getting to know each other better. After the project is over we went to Copenhagen to discover the city and had an amazing 3 days there with the Greek team. The worst part was to say goodbye with the promises that we will meet each other again sometime. I’m thankful to Çevka for making this dream possible for me!
