Erasmus+ youth exchange project “DO IT!” between 6-13 of August in Denmark

4 Yıl Önce

I participated in one of the most amazing Erasmus+ youth exchange projects in Denmark between 6-13 of August, and I want to thank https://diyarbakircevka.com for giving us such a great opportunity to people from Diyarbakir, Turkey because lately, I have been desiring to a change, especially after my graduation from University. And I was lost in thoughts about what to do with my life. Now, I am encouraged and inspired by a lot of project ideas thanks to the project in Denmark. I have already been seeking for more opportunities to have my project ideas in action. It all started there, in the city of Denmark, called Næstved with 60 young people from almost all over Europe. People usually tend to say money brings money but they have forgotten one more equally important element which is network/networking ( friends, friendship). Towards the end of the project, I realized that I have already met many wonderful people, all of whom were full of positive energy, happiness, and as well as overly friendly. They were there to break their prejudices just like us and it made everything go much faster in terms of connecting our minds and having better relations within European citizens. I realized that in the last years we (Turkey) have achieved so much by the Erasmus projects on the way of becoming a European Union member country. It helped to get to know each other cultures' better also help us to come over our prejudices. Yes, we have broken the ices and now it is the time for a borderless Europe. Last but not least, I have always wanted to make a difference in my life. So moved on, took the action to participate in the DO IT! project and made a difference in my as well as in my team members’ life! I suggest everyone whoever is reading this post to not fear while applying for an Erasmus project because neither the darkness come nor the light comes with a result at all the times but when it is an Erasmus project then I can assure you that it is going to be a life cornerstone of many of us. So, get ready for all of it because this is the way to change and get experienced and who knows maybe the action you are going to take ( Erasmus+ project) is going to be the cornerstone of your life as well. Most probably you will not be able to change if you do not take action. Do not be afraid of getting rejected or not being able to participate in the project you are interested, because it is life and we can fail but, know that you will rise again. A suggestion to you my readers, be a good friend of yourself and give yourself time and advice rather than becoming an obstacle to yourself. The activities during this project have created an interesting learning platform for sharing knowledge. Were leaned how to make public speaking and I become aware of good public speaking skills and now I know that they are important in other areas of one's life, as well. We might be asked to make a speech at a friend's wedding or inspire a group of volunteers at a charity event. All in all, being a good public speaker is going to enhance my reputation, boost my self-confidence, and will open up countless opportunities. Thanks to the “DO IT!” project, I am ready to make a public speaking in our organization now. The project aimed to visualize the Erasmus plus program in the hope to reach out to the target groups suitable for Youth Exchanges. It encouraged citizenship by demonstrating for youngsters the ability they hold to make a difference, impact society to participate actively in the community. The target groups of our dissemination activities were youngsters, youth workers & young leaders who are already active and aim to develop as youth leaders and those who were intended to develop their English speaking communication skills, who were ready to implement activities in a local community and online who were interested in improving skills and competences relating to the topic of the project “DO IT!” and as well as who were willingly ready to cooperate and develop future projects in Erasmus+. We have shared our experiences of the project as a team and have met once at our organization and once outside of the organization. Many of us have shared their experience through our social media accounts with visuals. We have exchanged pictures, videos, and text messages.
