The project will raise awareness among young people about dance as a recreational activity in their lives, with an emphasis on its positive impact for a healthier lifestyle. Interactive non-formal education methods in a multicultural context, as well as practical activities (fitness, Zumba, dancehall, traditional dances, etc.), will be used for this purpose, through which young people can learn by experimenting.
Objectives:
1) Increased awareness of the beneficial effects of dance as a physical recreation tool for the 36 young participants and the development of competences for 12 months through active involvement in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the project.
2) Involvement of young people in 5 practical learning activities related to dance (fitness, Zumba, dancehall competition, traditional dance, contemporary dance), during the implementation.
3) Informing young people from the 3 communities of the project partners about the importance of practicing dance as a physical activity, as well as about the dangers of sedentarism, through 3 local events organized by the young participants, with the support of partner organizations. At each event also the Erasmus+ programme will be promoted.
