Unforgettable Experience with Cevka!!!
You know, people always dream about going abroad and taste the different cultures, different people from different nations... Thanks to Erasmus+ projects I've attended till now, I mostly make this dream come to true with my almost every month travels at international departures :) But do you know that; I never imagined myself: one day going to England or UK... As it was one of the countries with extremely strict visa policy and not allowing even special passport holders to enter the UK borders... And it was a normal day and normal coffee break for me after the school when I noticed that There is a call from CEVKA about the project: NO HATE... yes in the first moments I had a difficulty to believe in that there is a project in England and it was about one of the most sensitive point of world; hate speech and LGBTQ+discrimination. Although I always look for projects and fellowships about this topic; it was generally challange to find one or after coming across one; getting an acceptance... So the process was up in front of me.. I should do it and try my chance; I tried to write one of the best motivation letter of my life explaning the experience and background about the hate crimes and hate speech in conservative community of Turkey and my; our fight against the discrimination; our war against the segregationn in our societ.. Surprisingly, it was one of the best coincidence of my life when I got the e-mail from CEVKA explaining that I was accepted for the project and yet; I was in another LGBTQ+ project in Czech Republic when I learnt the good news...... The journey was starting for me.... First visa applications and then flight bookings; Finally the day of departure from Ankara towards the London and afterwards; Norwich!!! We had an amazing time during the whole time we spent together both in London and in Norwich.... Apart from discovering the one of the most enchanting world capitals; in Norwich with all our team; we studied hard on establishing strong partnerships with other European Organizations on the advocacy and support for Love for Everybody, Zero Hatred in the World themes. Plus to our training sessions, we had a chance to make new friendships and set new goals all together for better Europe for more united EU citizens... Games, ice-breakers and all other training activities were just a small part of the whole amazing atmosphere while we were discovering the other cultures of European countries and enjoying the most valuable times of our lives... I would like to send my cordial salutations to all project team again and I am sending my special gratitudes to CEVKA to let me experience such a enriching and motivation training!!! I hope to see all beautiful people I met during the training again in the future!!! Take care guys!!!!!!
