Understanding environment Youth Exchange Program Experience in Lithuania Participating in a youth exchange program in Lithuania was an enriching and eye-opening experience that left a lasting impression on me. The program aimed to foster cultural and enviromental understanding and promote international cooperation among young people from different countries. From the moment I arrived in Lithuania, I was welcomed with open arms by the warm and friendly ÇEVKA members. One of the highlights of the program was the opportunity to live with a lake house. Our host association members was incredibly kind and made me feel like a member of their own. They not only introduced me to Lithuanian customs and traditions but also shared their personal stories and experiences, giving me a deeper insight into their way of life. Living with different countries members allowed me to immerse myself in the culture, and develop meaningful connections that transcended geographical boundaries. The exchange program also involved various workshops, seminars, and group activities that fostered cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. Through these activities, I had the chance to meet and interact with young people from different parts of the world, each with their own unique perspectives and backgrounds. We engaged in discussions, shared our ideas, and worked together on projects that aimed to address enviromental global challenges. These interactions helped broaden my horizons and encouraged me to think critically about global issues from multiple viewpoints. Exploring Lithuania was another incredible aspect of the program. The country's rich history and vibrant culture fascinated me at every turn. I visited historical sites such as Vilnius Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the stunning Trakai Castle. The picturesque landscapes, including the Curonian Spit and the Hill of Crosses, left me in awe of Lithuania's natural beauty. I also had the opportunity to taste delicious Lithuanian cuisine, including traditional dishes like cepelinai and kugelis, which further enhanced my cultural experience. Beyond the cultural and historical aspects, the youth exchange program also emphasized personal development and skills enhancement. We participated in workshops on leadership, communication, and teamwork, which equipped us with valuable skills that are essential in today's interconnected world. These sessions not only helped me gain confidence in my abilities but also inspired me to take on new challenges and pursue my passions. Perhaps the most profound impact of the youth exchange program was the friendships I formed. I met incredible young individuals from different corners of the globe, and together, we created a strong bond that transcended borders. The shared experiences, laughter, and support we provided one another made us feel like a global family. The friendships forged during this program continue to thrive even after our time in Lithuania, and I am grateful for the lifelong connections I made. In conclusion, my youth exchange program experience in Lithuania was transformative in many ways. It allowed me to embrace new cultures, expand my worldview, and develop valuable skills. Living with a lake house, engaging in cross-cultural activities, exploring Lithuania's history and natural beauty, learning how to protect our nature and forming lasting friendships were all integral parts of this incredible journey. The memories and lessons I gained from this experience will forever hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the power of cultural exchange and the importance of global unity.
