SINT MAARTEN, 16-25 FEB 2023

11 Ay Önce

Hello everyone. The project that took place in Sint Maarten from February 15-26 was very informative and full of experiences. The project's topic was "Recovery-New Start," and its goal was to educate participants about infectious diseases and raise awareness about what we learned. First of all, we traveled from winter to summer on a long flight to the other side of the world. The project consisted of groups from Germany, North Macedonia, Turkey, and Sxm. Each group lived together and made new friends. Having Sxm group with us helped us observe the island people, and we discovered local places such as restaurants and entertainment venues from the very first mission. We started each day with energy games and discussed the entry requirements and solutions for participating countries. We completed our tasks and workshops with mixed groups with dedication, which brought us closer together. Our friendships continue to this day. We prepared breakfast together in the morning and tried different flavors like fried bananas, giant avocados, and coconuts. We took walks, got lost, and created many memories, each one unique. We explored the island's beautiful beaches in detail every day, and Maho Beach, next to the airport, was especially breathtaking as we watched planes pass very close to us. The sea had the most beautiful blue color I have ever seen, and we even saw iguanas. Every person's character I met was different, and it was an unforgettable experience. I can't forget Kaja's "Mashallah girls," Draganaaa, Zelal on fire, Anil's Germany Flag, Nigel's guide, Muho's "We'll Take It All." I fell in love... with everything. The post-island syndrome had only one downside - our real life continues. But now, we know where paradise is.... :) I would like to thank Çevka for this experience.
