Hello, I’m Irmak and I participated in the "Environment Movement" project that took place in Sint Marteen on 13-22 December. I want to tell you about my experience. When I flew to the island from Amsterdam, I suddenly dropped from -1 to 30 degrees. Even experiencing this at first made me feel like “yes, this time I am far from home”. Realizing that I was stepping out of my comfort zone gave me tremendous motivation. We went to the place where the project will be held and met the other participants and the next day the project started. Everyday, we did activities related to the environment and went out together in the evenings. I already missed watching planes in Maho Beach, spending the sunset in Mullet Bay and hiking from the Dutch side to the France side. This project has given me unique sunset moments, incredible friendships and an experience that I will never forget. I would like to thank the Diyarbakır ÇEVKA family for making this possible. Step out of your comfort zone and let your adventure begin. :)
