Hey! My name is Esin. I am a 23-years old, student of Middle East Technical University. I do not exactly know where I should start to tell my Greenland story. Let's start from the beginning. One year ago, when I blew out my birthday candles, I made a wish and my mother asked me what I wished. Then, I told my mother that I wish to see the glaciers. She thought that I wasted my birthday wish. Time flowed like water, and I continued to live my normal life routine. I received a text message from Emre who is a friend from my university one day. He asked me whether or not I wanted to go to Greenland. I was shocked because it could not be possible and it was my birthday wish. Of course, I said yes and he explained how I can apply for the project and other necessary information and I applied the project and I told no one. After two days, I learnt that I was accepted. I called my mom, and I said that I am going to go Greenland. This is the beginning of my story, I know you think that it is so mystical and probably you do not believe me but it is a wonderful truth thanks to ÇEVKA. Let's talk about the project. I learnt important things from this project. Firstly, I became familiar with different cultures. I observed and learnt about the cultures of Denmark, Romain, UK, and Greenland at the same time. That was great but also making friends from these cultures is marvellous. It makes me more confident, curious about cultures. Another important thing is that I did not only discover a place but also myself. When I surrounded by so many people in the same adventures made me find another side of me. I noticed that I can do better, and I am a part of all these cultures and nature. Also, I recognised that we should be more careful about nature because the world is our home. Time is running out for all creature if we do not care about nature. That was a really great experience for me and I hope to see all my friends from this project in the future.
