A dream came True in UK/25 Feb- 5 March Norwich UK

5 Yıl Önce

Hello Fellas! As you remember from my previous experience sharing, I went to Denmark with Çevka association. It was the start of anything that happened today. Let me start with before the selection period. I saw the post "call for participants" 38 minutes after it had been shared. I was really exciting and it was a dream, I mean really dream. I applied instantly and really wanted to be accepted for the project. After I while, I started to grow some hopes about I would be selected. Finally, the call came and I was said to be accepted for the project. From that moment, many things were going to change in my life. Because I am at the department of foreign language education and visiting the UK and doing some studying in there is the nirvana of our life. I was going to do it at the age of 20 and 21. Because on the 4th day of the project was 28 Feb, when my birthday is. Time passed and finally, we were almost in the UK. In the group, I and Mahsum were going to hang together before everyone in the project. We posted in some groups to find somewhere to stay for 2 before-2 days after. Also, we had a great plan to stay in the lounges at Atatürk Airport. We did it, we find tickets for free :). Anyways, we arrived in Heathrow and we were heading to our host family to stay for 2 days. Tülan Hanım was really helpful and she was truly like a mother to us in the UK. We were in London and we were lucky, so we used that chance till 01.00 am till midnight every day we stayed in the UK. I can truly tell you that we walked every inch of London by walking and left no place to see. Let's talk about the project. We arrived in Norwich after collecting the rest of the Turkish team and then to the place to stay. The first day was not bad, but we were hanging perfectly. by the way, there're people from Lithuania, Estonia, Noth Macedonia, Turkey, and the UK. For those 10 days, I was truly happy to be there because we had some familiar faces from other projects. We talked with them, tried to see we can share. By the way, I was honored to be the leader of the Turkish team. It was an honor for me because it was only my second project and they trusted me, I hope I didn't fail them. there was another person whose birth date was the same as mine. We celebrated birthdays together and have fun. Although there were people at the age range from 15 to 29 it was a bit hard to make contact. I wanna talk about the success of the Turkish team, they were really successful to engage in activities in spite of some decays. to describe 10 days of projects I can say that full of dancing, cultural harmonies, funny jokes and conversations and end of a virginity party! Yeah I know the last one is really ridiculous but we did it because it is a part of Estonian culture. I need to keep it short; all I want to say is that I have now many friendships, many close friends from different countries, some dancing figures that I got from Macedonian people and for the most beautiful thing is to see the UK and see and actualize my biggest dream. I would like to thanks Çevka, Mehmet Altuntop, Mariye Hanım and Muhammed Çavdar for both giving me that opportunity and believing on me! And Mahsum for his the best accompany for the whole UK adventure!
